Larry Rosenzweig, author of the children/young adult’s fantasy fiction book series, The Galactic Adventures of Alex McKenzie, is running another competition that calls on all participants to use their imagination.
In keeping with Doolan Dragon tradition, newborn dragons are only named on their first birthday. This gives the dragon clan a chance to observe the new arrivals behaviour over a 12 month period and then come up with a name that best reflects its behaviour. Frother (a loveable Doolan Dragon who is one of the main characters in the series to date) and his partner have a baby Doolan Dragon in Book 4. The baby dragon is a male. No other details are available.
In no more than 500 words, describe the newborn Doolan Dragon’s behaviour and come up with a name for it that suitably reflects this behaviour.
The best ten entries will receive copies of Book I (available), Book II (available), and Book III (available) and Book IV (when it is released probably mid-late 2011)
The winning entry will receive copies of all three books plus a $100 Westfield shopping voucher and publicity in the local Leader newspaper.
Any ideas that the author deems suitable, will be included in Book IV and the idea(s) will be credited to the child in question on a Special Thanks page inside Book IV.
